Prepare for Storm Eowyn

During storms, tanks can move off their base if there is not enough fuel in them to keep them steady. If an oil tank falls it is at risk of cracking and will need replacing, and bear in mind the oil spill contamination clean up expenses that may come along with that.

Before storm Eowyn and its hurricane style winds, we advise checking your oil tank is secure. If you have an oil tank that is not sheltered from the wind by a wall, shrubbery etc. then tank straps are the ideal solution to avoid damage.
