Why not service you boiler during the summer?

Servicing your boiler in the summer means more flexible appointments and peace of mind knowing you’re ready for the colder seasons.
All Tank & Boiler Services' technicians are OFTEC trained and registered and as such you will receive a CD/11 liquid fuel servicing and commissioning report and a TI/133D domestic liquid fuel storage tank spillage and fire risk assessment with every boiler service. A boiler service includes the following:
Visual Inspection:
- Check for oil leaks from tank and oil supply line
- Check for significant corrosion on the boiler’s outer sheet metal, its cast-iron sections, flue, electrical controls, nearby piping and components.
- Open the boiler top or look through the inspection port to check for cracks in the firebox or on the target wall (the fire clay box or wall that the burner fires into or against)
- Check the draft regulator for free movement
- Check operation of oil shut off valve
- Check air inlets to boiler room
Burner Check: (As per Oftec CD11 Report)
- Clean Baffles and chamber
- Clean and adjust spark electrodes
- Clean and check flame photocell
- Replace burner nozzle
- Check and adjust pump pressure
- Check operation of high limit thermostat
- Carry out smoke test
- Carry out boiler efficiency test
- Provide print out of boiler efficiency report
Tank check: (As per Oftec TI/133D Report)
- any spillage or fire risks
- pipe fittings
- filters
- valves
- lid
- signs of aging, sun bleaching or rusting
- tank base
- water in the oil tank
